EXTENSIVE TESTING, AEROTEC RACE BODIES HAS FOUND THE IDEAL SHAPE, STYLE ,
AND HEIGHT FOR MINIMAL AERODYNAMIC DRAG OF THE CHAMP KART BODYWORK.
THE NOSE IS
A MORE CONTOURED SHAPE, AND IS DESIGNED TO BE USED AROUND THE ROLL
BARS- HOWEVER, IT CAN BE TRIMMED AND BE USED ON THE INSIDE ALSO.
MANY OF THE USUAL OPENINGS FOUND ON MOST CHAMP KART NOSES HAVE BEEN
REMOVED OR CLOSED UP. THIS KEEPS THE AIRFLOW FROM ENTERING THE
INSIDE OF THE BODYWORK, WHICH WOULD CAUSE MORE DRAG, THEREFORE SLOWING THE
KART AND CREATING A LARGER DRAFT AREA BEHIND THE KART. THE NOSEPIECE ALSO
INCORPORATES A SIDE PANEL WHICH IS DESIGNED TO ALLOW SMOOTH AIRFLOW PAST
THE MOTOR WITH MINIMAL DRAG.
THE
DOWNDRAFT JR. SERIES INCLUDES A MOLDED FRONT WINDOW WHICH FITS THE
CONTOURS OF OUR UNIQUE BODYWORK.
IN
ADDITION, THE SIDE PANELS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO CLEAN UP THE AIR
DISTURBANCE AROUND THE FRONT TIRES, AND TO KEEP AS MUCH AIR OUT OF
THE INSIDE OF THE BODYWORK.
